Evaluation question 1 - In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

The first shot (top left) has the main character walking out of a building, he is looking around like if he knows that something could happen to him. This shot could be called an establishment shot as it shows where the scene is taking place, this scene is the really first one of the film, hence it is important to let the audience know where it is all happening.
The second shot (top middle) is the first shot that is taken away from the main character, it gives you the idea that something is actually going to happen to the main character as there are 2/3 shots of him walking around previously and then all of a sudden there is a change in music and we see the shadow of a knife.
The third shot (top right) finally has the action taking place, a man (me) is waiting for the main character to walk past an alcove in which the murder takes place. The scene is decently realistic as the stabbing motion seems to actually end in the main character's body.
The fourth shot (middle left) is a close up of the face of the main character as he slowly dies, his back is to the wall and we used the main character's incredible drama skills to really give this scene an extra taste of Film Noir, as many films do, we used the character's facial expressions to transmit emotions to the audience.
The fifth shot (middle centre) has the murderer walking away from the scene, the light is in front of him and gives this nice effect of him walking before the light, the names of the 4 main actors are shown in "American Typewriter" font which we thought would be the most Film Noir like font.
The sixth scene (middle right) shows the film's title, the murderer is followed by the camera and disappears into the darkness, as he disappears from view the titles comes on the screen, the font used for the title is different and the words are bigger than the rest of the opening titles.
The seventh scene (bottom left) is taken the morning after the killing, two female detectives are analyzing the scene of the murder, the music has changed to give a more relaxed mood (as the killing is over) however we didn't want to make the audience feel too happy, so the chosen music gives a detective like mood. The titles are with the same font however we changed the color of the font depending on the background (if the background is dark, the titles are in white and vice versa).
The eight scene (middle bottom) is a mid shot of one the two detectives analyzing whatever she found on the wall near the assassination spot, she is wearing a typical detective jacket.
The ninth scene (bottom left) is a close up of the hand of the other detective girl trying to open a shed that is just behind the building of the killing, the actual scene is starts with a mid shot of the detective walking towards the shed with an intrigued face, she has a look at the shed and then she tries and open it by handling the doorknob.
